We'd like to use a consistent checksum scheme everywhere so that we can:
a) incorporate archive checksums into our specs and have a
consistent hashing algorithm across all specs.
b) index mirrors with a consistent type of checksum, and not one that
is dependent on how spack packages are written.
- [x] convert existing md5, sha224, sha512, sha1 checksums to sha256
The most recent release of bamutil that we support uses an embedded
copy of libStatGen that has several issues that keep it from building
with newer releases of gcc.
They've all been fixed upstream and the latest release of bamutil
would pick them up if/when we support it. The build process has
changed though, plus my team needs *this* version.
This commit backports those fixes.
- remove the old LGPL license headers from all files in Spack
- add SPDX headers to all files
- core and most packages are (Apache-2.0 OR MIT)
- a very small number of remaining packages are LGPL-2.1-only
I've had non-repeatable failures in my CI runs on all three clusters
at the bamutil's step. In each case there are .o or .so files that
are corrupt or truncated.
I suspect that the homebrewed bamutil Makefile scheme doesn't actually
support parallel builds.
